Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Exchange (Tadawul) has officially announced the delisting of a significant government debt issuance following its scheduled maturity.

The move, initiated by a formal request from the Ministry of Finance, involves a debt instrument valued at SAR 5.20 billion, according to an official statement issued on 31 May 2026.

This administrative action marks the completion of the instrument's lifecycle within the Kingdom’s public debt market and ensures that Tadawul’s records accurately reflect the current state of outstanding sovereign obligations.

Tadawul, acting as the primary venue for securities trading in Saudi Arabia, confirmed that the delisting process was conducted in accordance with the regulatory framework governing the listing and trading of debt instruments.

This specific action pertains to Issuance number 1004-10, which has been identified within the exchange’s systems under Tadawul Code 5216. The total nominal value of the instrument at the time of its removal from the listing was SAR 5.20 billion.

The delisting follows the natural lifecycle of a fixed-income security. As the instrument reached its predetermined maturity date, the obligation of the issuer as the Saudi government, represented by the Ministry of Finance to the holders of the debt has been fulfilled.

Consequently, the instrument no longer requires a platform for secondary market trading, leading to its formal removal from the Saudi Exchange’s active listing records.

It is worth noting that the Ministry of Finance serves as the central authority managing the Kingdom’s sovereign debt portfolio. Its request to Tadawul to delist this specific issuance is part of the broader management of national financial liabilities. By retiring matured instruments, the Ministry and the Exchange ensure that the public record of listed debt remains current, reflecting only those obligations that are actively outstanding and tradable by institutional and individual investors.
